Dog Leg Warmers

Dog Leg Warmers
Your dog will look stylish and warm in these great leg warmers. You will need Size 8 needles and worsted weight yarn. The size of the leg warmers will depend on the size of the dog. So get out a ruler and we'll figure out how many stitches to cast on. First, measure your dog's leg from his ankle (right above his paw) to about half way up his leg. You will cast on 4 stitches for every inch. So if your measurement was 4 inches, you will cast on 16 stitches. After casting on, you will knit every row. After a few rows, stop and see if your knitted piece will fit around your dog's leg. It shouldn't be too tight but it also has to be loose enough so that it won't fall off. When you think it will fit, bind off and then sew the seam. Knit 4 of these and your sweet dog will be the most fashionable pooch in the neighborhood!
